Bless, O Lord, us Thy servants who minister in Thy temple. Grant that what we sing with our lips we may believe in our hearts, and what we believe in our hearts we may show forth in our lives. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

The Mission of St. James Cathedrals Youth Music Program is to develop full, active and conscious participation in the liturgy through singing.

Schola Cantorum Choir Camp 2010

August 9-13 (9:00-4:00 pm, M-F) and
Sunday, August 15 (9:00 am-12:00 noon)

Led by the region’s finest Catholic music educators, this week-long camp prepares young singers grades 4-8 (treble voices) for the many Cathedral liturgies at which they will sing during the school year. The camp provides excellent training in liturgical music. Students learn how to sing, and develop their skills in music fundamentals, including rhythm and pitch. Priority enrollment is given to parishioners of St. James Cathedral, and currently-enrolled Youth Music Program students. A brief audition is necessary for new students.
