Concert Ushers
Volunteers for specific concerts help with getting guests to their seats as well as collecting donations.
Music Office Receptionists
This is an occasional position. Although we may need a volunteer receptionist at any time during the year, the times when we most need a helping hand are the week following Christmas, a few weeks before our pre-Lenten concert Great Music for Great Cathedrals, and during Holy Week. The position consists of very light clerical work and phone answering.
Great Music for Great Cathedrals
A Great way to get to know other parishioners! Volunteer an hour,
a morning, a day, a week or a whole bunch of time. Great Music couldn't
happen if it wasn't for hundreds of volunteers who generously
give their time. Many are veteran volunteers who have been with
the program since the very beginning. Every year we look forward
to new volunteers joining our ranks, learning, having fun, and
enjoying the fellowship of a dedicated group of parishioners and
community folk.
Great Music requires that we have a lot of volunteers doing a
lot of different things.
Costumes - Volunteers help with producing the garments worn by performers.
Lighting - Volunteers needed for all types of work, light, moderate to heavy lifting.
Props - Consists of prop production in the weeks before the program and then managing during performances.
Stage Crew - Must be able to attend all performances and rehearsals. Attend two stage crew meetings and Help with "strike" of the program
Hospitality - All of our volunteers come here straight after work and often do not get a meal on the way. Hospitality folks provide food one night for around 20 people.
New Year's Eve
Volunteers are needed to help setup and take-down for the New Year's Eve celebration in the Cathedral. Physical work is moderately heavy.
